Well... even epic finally had to say ut3 was a pile and they shouldn't have
released it.

As to there being very little chatter about anything at all in this
newsgroup.  That is a multifaceted story.  Text usenet is in deep decline
while binary usenet keeps growing.  On top of that, this NG is really for a
game released in 1999 and there are very few of us left who care about it. 
Add to that the fact that epic decided that all pc gamers are pirates and so
they won't be creating any more pc titles.  Add to that the fact that ut3
wasn't much of a game to excite very many people...  Well, I'm afraid that
only a bare few die-hards still even pull headers more often than monthly or
semi-annually for this NG now.

It really does, doesn't it.  I bought it for $15, but the disk is bad
and doesn't work on my drive.  But I was able to install it on my
dad's system.  I should see about getting a replacement disk, but I
know I won't be playing it like I do original and 2004.

I don't agree with anyone saying ut3 is rubbish but that's something
everyone has to decide for him/herself.
I'm not a hardcore player, but I think this game rocks.
Lots of fun with a small group of players.
Much better than the 2003/2004 versions.
The latest patch and titan pack gives some nice additions.

It doesn't beat the original UT though.. nothing ever will. :)

OMG, you were talking directly at me, lol. I try to swing by every couple of 
weeks now, with visits getting longer between. In case any of you guys gives 
up, it was a hell of a run. Thanks for all the really good memories.
