This one is a stumper. OK.... I have two internet connections and a load balancing router. I am currently load balancing, but I've also used the router just as failover in the past. I have also bound port traffic to one WAN or the other. Here is what I want to do: I want to be able to serve the same game from both external IP addresses. I want to utilize the added upstream bandwidth. Both internet connections are 16 X 1 meg. I can serve from one connection now by port binding 7777-7778 and 27900 to one WAN port. I can also serve from both connections if my clients use the ip addresses to connect. I have had 5 players join one ip and 5 join the other ip. It seems to function just fine. The problem is: port 27900, I think. If left unbound, I can not list in the master server. I would have thought the load balancer would have at least caused the server to be advertised on one IP or the other, but in fact, if 27900 is unbound, the master server never lists me. Any ideas on that?

My guess (and issues such as these are my weak areas) is that 27,9 needs to dedicate. If you don't/can't dedicate I would guess that the master server won't be able to list you. The master server needs a ping port and it matches that port with the IP in the listing. I know from experience if you switch either IP or gameport on the fly, the master server relists you. I'd be very surprised if you can work this out. However if I had to bet on someone, you'd probably be the dude to get it figured.
