Any backports of UT3 maps?

The one map in the UT3 demo (and the crappy interface), made me decide
to stick with the two older games until 3 is under $20. I saw it for
$30 this week at BestBuy (I think; there were two price tags). With
the new system I'm building (two 9600gts), I should be able to run it
decently, if there's any maps worth playing.

But how will I know if there's any maps worth playing? Considering
how many remakes of the q3 map The Longest Yard exist for Q2 and both
UTs, I figure someone must have remade some UT3 maps for UT or
UT2/2.5. Anyone know any particular names?

Also, has anyone done Bombing Run or Carry the Flag game types?
(Carry the Flag should really be a built-in option on all ctf games.)

Todd that's actually a pretty funny question. Consider as a percentage the
most popular maps being played on UT2004 are remakes of UT99 or UT2003 maps,
which in turn were inspired by many of the levels in Unreal.

Already the maps in the stock UT3 are heavily influenced by past efforts,
and I foresee a great deal more being redone if history is any indicator.

All this leads me to this: How long until what you asked will actually
happen? A map from UT2004, remade from a UT99 project, ported into UT3 for
nostalgic value, then some mapper backports it to play in his UT2004 system?
I'm getting dizzy.....

All in all it won't matter. You'll have trouble finding someone to play
anyway. Check the server monitors for player count on UT3. Ugh.

Could've sworn I sent this before, but I must have rebooted before
saving or sending the post.

I'm not sure you understand the question, and that may be my fault,
since no one else even tried to answer the question I thought I was
asking. Or maybe everyone else around here just has me killfiled.

I wanted to know if anyone had taken a UT3 map and remade it to play
in UT or UT2004. Cause the one map in the 3 demo convinced me that 3
wasn't worth the $50 price of admission.

3 must be a really sucky game, considering it's less than a year old
and already selling for $20 at Walmart.

I see there's only about three Warfare maps on FileFront. I thought
Warfare was supposed to be compatible with Assault and Onslaught play
modes? I expected to find all kinds of maps in those modes.
