I loved playing BR but the gun was cranked up WAY too high. It should never
shoot all the way across a map. A BR box map with instagib is <woot> on a
stick for me!! :)

On a similar note, at least one UT99 server is now running Onslaught

It's a bit buggy atm, but the developer is updating it all the time. I
actually enjoy it more than 2k4's Onslaught and UT3's warfare. At least
with 99 you can move properly...

IMO, player movement in UT3 is virtually identical to UT99.

It's much closer than 2k4, but the models are still like Homer after a
pie contest;

Everyone talks about how UT3 is "almost as good as UT99", so I figure I
might as well stick with UT99.

I'll give UT3 another try once more of the glaring bugs are fixed and
some sort of anti-cheat is in place. UT3 is a cheaters paradise atm; no
anti-cheat and no effective way to admin servers. :/

Heh. I tend to agree though. They've never matched the perfect feel
from UT99.

Yup. Got confirmation that Helios is already working for UT3.

Hi all,

The Reliquary development team is coding the BR mod for UT3 as we
speak. The code is working nicely and we should have a beta to test
on servers soon. The mod will ship with a total remake of the classic
BR map Anubis. This is not a port from UT2004, but built from
scratch. It has a new UT3 theme to it, but the map's layout and
pickups are exactly as in the original.

Progress can be followed on our site, under the 'Project Wormhole'
link

Also more detailed info on our forum...just follow the site links!

Merry Christmas to all !
