What is everyone's game that they are playing now? What's good about it. I
need a new game to get into. I love the first person games where you are
that person, but the games where you can see yourself running around are
good too.

@@@@ Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga .@@@@

It was released in late 2009 as Divine Divinity II but it's only just
being re-released as "Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga" which
has upgraded graphics etc. version with a add-on extension
to the game "Flames Of Vengeance"

This is my game of the year mostly because its Fun, a Playful style.
It feels fresh & new.
Its 3rd person Action RPG using the same game engine as Gothic 4.
But much closer in feel to the Gothic games than that Arcania thing.
All the basic traditional RPG Stats & skill points, a Journal / Logbook ...
game keeps a record of all dialogues.
It set in a Fantasy Medevil world ...lotsa trees ...no horses to ride tho.

Its more slash n bash Adventure action than puzzles.
Lots of dialogue to read & follow
but I found I could really hurry though that chatting if I wanted to.
Good central story + lots of varied side quests ...
A single Hero plus a 'Creature' you get to make n use.
You get to Transform into a Dragon which is impressive & a nice turn on all
those RPG's
where you just out to kill the Big Bats.

Mixture of Dudgeon & out door Questing action in a very big roaming
world though it doesn't give the player as much roaming freedom as the
earlier Gothics.
Lots Screens:

The English Language is very well done with a lively sense of humour.
Lots of Bossy in charge women & wooden top idiot Soldiers.
At first I thought the A.I. was very simple ..Hero uses Sword , Bow, Magic
(you have to choose one at the start). to slash n bash with not to much
artistry, but as I've played on that A.I. shows considerable variety.
Little Goblin horrors turn & run away sometimes.
Hero dealing with a Giant attacking Troll became quite a complex game of
hide n seek.

I first played it early in the year & got into too many quests in the
first section. I felt lost & gave it up.

Now I'm going into it a 2nd time with regular looks at a detailed Game Guide
http://guides.gamepressure.com/divinityiiegodraconis/
which does not spoil my enjoyment while helping me to get on
rather than lost.
