Is it possible to take a sound file off of the cd to have it on your
computer?? I tried to open one by going into the file on my computer, but it
said I did not have software to play it.

The theme tune and credits tune on Thief games are usually standard
MP3s and I've successfully played the ones from Thief 1 on a variety
of other systems. Most things can play MP3s - obviously Windows Media
Player will play them and other playing programmes are available of
course.

Basically, if you have the games installed on your system you should
be able to play them. What file extensions did the ones you didn't
manage to get to work have?

I went into my C drive to the game folder in the "Conversation" and "Sound"
folders of Thief. The files ended in .con and .csc.
