Okay, I dl'd 4 or 5 recent FM's from Thiefmissions.com. I tried to play Freedo and received some type of runtime error. Now, Garrettloader doesn't respond. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall it? Could the Freedo FM caused some sort of error? I tried uninstalling Garrettloader and reinstalling it and still get runtime errors. Albert

This is even after I uninstalled Garrettloader. Maybe they are not compatible with Vista? Albert

It sounds like there are parts of the Freedo FM still installed and they are screwing up the loaders. Can you install T2 from scratch, then try Darkloader? -- Michael Cecil http://home.roadrunner.com/~macecil/ http://home.roadrunner.com/~safehex/ http://home.roadrunner.com/~macecil/hackingvista/

A few suggestions: In Darkloader, install Thef 2 orginal missions to clear out the installed FM, then Garettloader should play it fine. Don't know if this might be of any help, but it never hurts to check it out. If the computer is a duel processor, that might be part of the problem. I have to do this when I run a game through Garettloader: Bring up "task manager", click "processes", click on "Grettloader", right click, click on "set affinity" unclick one of the CPUs so it's only running on one processor for Garettloader. Another thing I do, is play the FMs in a seperate install of Thief so all the custom crap doesn't muck up the orginal textures. But then, I also do some work in Dromed. Go to TTLG forums, join if you're not already a member. Do a search of the archives, or ask questions. Lot of Thief Geeks there. http://www.ttlg.com/forums/index.php?s=52df3a0a9d7bb72abf95a0ebbdff789a As last resort: Cuss a lot, throw things around the room, smash your keyboard, reformat the hard drive, and get so drunk you don't give a damn if you ever play it again.....

I am not sure how I did it, but I uninstalled everything, then reinstalled T2, tested it, then readded the darkhooks and convict.osm, then reinstalled GL and it seems to work now. Albert
