I swapped out the sound blaster live oem value card for a sound blaster audigy 2 value oem card for running under windows xp 2 home edition. The pops and clicks are gone but what I hear now at times is repeated portions of already spoken phroase by the characters. For conversation sake : "I'll get you, you Taffer" comes out like this : "I'll get I'll get you, you Taffer" -- "If confused why this or that is going on." "I suggest you go to http://www.timdoc.com"

hmm. is there any .ini thief setting for the sound stream buffer?
Increasing the size of this in Riven fixed a sound issue for me.

I will search for stream and see what I get though. -- "If confused why this or that is going on." "I suggest you go to http://www.timdoc.com"

I looked around but I could not make heads or tales of some stuff.... The sound card was replaced so that part is ok its just now that the "ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Series" on board shared ram video cant keep up to what you say streaming of the cut scenes. -- "If confused why this or that is going on."
