T3 DS ..how to use user maps ?

Nice to find this n.group so busy.. Can someone advise me with this..I want to install some user made map/missions in Thief 3 Dark Shadows.. But despite reading the info on a Thief map's site I still can't understand where to put the 'bits' from the Mod file in my TDS folder. It (the map mod) has a same name folder structure as the main game ..do I overwrite into the same-name folders.?. OR copy the Map Mod's folder structure along side the existing one ? How do I load the new map ?? I am, as you can see, scared to mess up my existing main install ... How do we uninstall Map Mods ? Any Bunny recommend particular user maps/missions please ? To part answer my own Q here is the site for a VERY comprehsive all THIEF games and some others mission loader... http://www.potterdevelopments.org.uk/fm/downloads.pl But this is all very much a lot for me who just wants to run 1 or 2 Fan Missions. Mouse @@@@

It's all been discussed before and not that long ago either. It's always a good idea to read through the archives or do a full download of all available messages when you subscribe to a ng. You can also search Google newsgroups archive, typing 'run TDS fan missions' should get you some nice results. (Haven't tried it though but should.) To cut it short: You need to install 'Garretloader', this will take care of loading all your T3 fm's for you. Also go to http://www.ttlg.com/ and Komag's site, http://www.keepofmetalandgold.com/ , among others. He's got a link there to an entire site he has dedicated to TDS fm's. Have fun. Barnaby
