 (2) - Cathedral Of The Damned

I'm not a big fan of the undead - not at all, but this mission
is so well conceived, so beautifully detailed in it's finished and
well polished execution that it's impossible to name marks high
  enough to do it justice.

A deeply atmospheric and lush exterior sets the stage for this
well layed out structure that has all the dark charm and nuance
that you'd expect only from the finest of the original T2 mission
  builders.

Having a complete exterior lends extreme weight to the immersive
factor, giving the player a solid sense of actual place and time.

Once inside, the detail and layout offer extensive discovery and
reward in the forms of a logical structural concept of high quality
that make it a delight to explore - even though this is a rather
small map it is handled so well that it seems much larger as it's
many paths and added colorful nuances give it a rich full character.

Adding the many interior/exterior connections in the form of open
casteletted balconies and walkways, and coupled with the detailing
of age and structural damage that the player is required to negotiate
and you have one deeply immersive and thoroughly enjoyable and
rewarding mission that will have you recrossing the map after you've
completed your objectives just to have another look around - and
even then it will leave you longing for more.

No suprises here - nothing necessarily "new" or inventive, just
one great map of extremely high quality and integrity.

If you hate the undead - then it's all the more reason to play
this mission because it's in this kind of lush dank atmosphere
that they actually fit, fit well, and can be appreciated.

One could too easily detract by complaining of "no under-
ground" or "not enough story line inventiveness or puzzle
feature" but that would be unfairly missing the point that
"completeness" lies in integrity and ->FUN! - Of which this
 map is a prime example.

I would easily award this one a 10 of 'Maxi' 10 - but to
be perfectly fair and honest to both the player and builder
this one is OFF the charts ->! - If you haven't seen this one
yet then do your self a favour and DL NOW - and then feel free
to come back here and argue the points mentioned above (Good
 LUCK) !;]

If you've already played this map -> Then play it again! 8]
