Of course, I can help!  I betatested this one, too.

1.  There is loot scattered all over this mission, as well as a considerable
amount in the bank vault. To get into the vault, look on the wall beside the
desk.  If you want a complete loot list, I have one posted at Cheap Thief
Mission Downloads, here: http://lserv00.math.uh.edu/thief/missions/  Just
find the line for Karras' Diary and follow it across to the "L".

2. The explosive device is used to blow open the door in #3.  After you get
through there, you have a couple of puzzles to solve before you finish.
Don't bother doing this until you've met your loot requirement though,
because there's no loot past that point.
