Perhaps my first useful script.
"worker":#grab a worker
Key("c-f2")+#save location
Key("f1")+#select idle worker if any
Key("f2")+#recall location
Key("c-7")+#assign to throwaway group
Mouse("left")+#select worker under pointer
Key("c-7")+#assign to throwaway group
Key("7")+#select throwaway group
PlaySound(r"C:\Program Files\VoiceWorks\boop.wav"),
As far as I can tell, Starcraft always moves the view if the idle
worker being selected is not on the current screen. That is a
hassle, but at least it allows saving camera locations. So that is
how the above script operates. If a worker is under the pointer,
that worker will be selected. If nothing is under the pointer, an
the idle worker will be selected.
That script (or similar) will be used at the beginning of lots of
other scripts that do something with a worker.
