We should probably migrate to the Blizzard forums because these
discussions are pretty weak sauce with nobody saying a word.

We should go to the Blizzard forums and post instructions so that (new)
people can find us here and join in. ;-}

I'm sure more people will join once SC II has been launched. It is
afterall one of the greatest games ever created.

You're neglecting the fact that usenet died a decade ago.

Blizzard (battle.net) forums are terrible

terrible, terrible

They were like terrible in 1999 already and when I went back to take a
look, it had against all odds somehow found a way to drop the general
intelligence level from just plain hopeless straight into the abyss
itself.

Blargh.
IMO someone make me a forum framework and I'll host it on a site.

Half the people I know don't even have usenet access anymore, except
through the means of barely working free crap.

It's the wow syndrome, I tell you - when you make a game any idiot can
play, well...

Either way, just use smf - http://www.simplemachines.org/

not sure if it really would end up being more useful than this place
tho :p.

I guess we'd get the graphic smilies and oversized image signatures,
though!§

That has been prophesized ever since I have been here. The fact of
the matter is that many Internet forums have dwindled too, maybe
especially game forums.

You should tell that one to Google Groups spammers...

And what about the other half, with a brain?

UseNet is still alive and kicking. Just because some game forums
have been hosted by their publishers and attracted gamers does not
mean UseNet is dead.

And if it is, why are you here posting that crap, the same crap that
has been posted to UseNet countless times over the decades.
