I have been on the net and found many Starcraft web sites that talk about strategies and build orders. The question is, which websites are the good ones to look into. And which to avoid. I prefer the Protoss so any web site that makes me a better Toss player will be greatly appreciated.

Remember that a build order is a just a guideline - you need to be able to quickly deviate - if you are doing a Zealot rush for instance and then discover that your enemy is terran and has decided to go mad gay firebats. You can build exactly the same things as a world class player, but if your micro and macro management skills aren't up to speed - you are going to lose. Skills like being able to expand while controlling an attack are much more useful than which building is built in which order. I'm not saying BO doesn't matter at all - just that it is very easy to focus too much on something that isn't going to help you much. Stuff to look for in guides: More than specific build orders - or god forbid, exactly how many peons to make before constructing building X - look for strategies on counters for specific unit combinations and different attack groups. Look for replays from world champion players. Hope that helps -- LTP :)

If you're looking for a place to start, you should probably check out the recommended threads there (http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=60601), and remember that you can get a lot of good answers to questions (eg, "how do I beat X on map Y") by using the search function and looking up older stuff.
