Yeah, well, i was referring to anything other than missionary position and female orgasm being taboo. > > On a side note, I do not believe that Catholics are christians (kinda like > > close, but no cigar), although that is debateable. Sort of like the extremist muslim cleric Vs the local mosque? The local is closer to the original teaching than the fanatic. Catholicism is sort of toward the fanatical end of christianity. It certainly was in the past (crusades, with hunts, etc.). > Very debatable. We are Christians, and we believe everything in the > Nicene Creed (do a Google search... Thing is, the bible says that it is the only authoritative word of god. Works of man are nothing in comparison. The new testament is simply a record of the events and teachings of the prophetic years of Yesouf (Jesus) the Christ. There were no more prophets after Christ, according to Christianity. First there was the Jews. Then some bloke said he was the son of the god of Abraham, a few others believed him and so we got christians. Most of the jews did not agree, so we still had Jews. Who hated the Christians as blasphemers, or some such. Then along came mohammed who a lot of people believed to be another prophet of the God of Abraham. So we ended up with Islam. Incidentally JC is recognized as a prophet in islam, and his teachings are valued. Not just in islam either. Buddhists too, IIRC. Muslims also expect more prophets to come. I don't think the Jews do, any more. They're still waiting for the Son of God, i think? And now it seems you, Andrew, are saying that your lot (Catholics) have prophets after Christ as well (since only prophets (or their followers) can write down the word of God). From that I gather that you expect more prophets to come as well? Although you call them saints, i think. At any rate, this puts you on a path leading to a religion separating from those who follow the teaching of Christ - the christians - to your own system, which we know as catholicism. Seems like all 4 (Jews, Christians, Muslims, & Catholics) all believe in the same God (the God of Abraham) but have different ways of following him. And all 4 have used religion as an excuse to be rotten to each other for centuries. Time to get over it and move on, you lot. Or self destruct, eventually. Religion bites. All of them have been used to be rotten to someone, or a lot of someones, at some point. Even Buddhism (ask a Pakistani or Indian). -- from: Mr. J D Cooper aka Phorse 5 [Force 5] Remove the number(s) from the email address for fastest reply.
