Clinton is in no great political trouble. Congress won't -- and probably
can't -- impeach him, and a conviction is out of the question. His
ratings are extremely high at the moment, and no one cares about his
affair outside of the press (which always loves an underdog) and the
Republicans (who just can't stop looking like fools -- except for,
surprisingly, Gingrich). Sure, the Democrats have gone into hiding, but
it's not a campaign season -- yet. If the Republicans can extend the
situation into April or May, they might be able to hurt the Democrats --
but probably not. Successful politicians are prominent -- but not infamous --
and look non-partisan. The current Democratic cowardice will balance
with its apolitical image (for the moment) and life will go on.

Stop pretending that because you've seen "Wag the Dog" you're a genius
about political marketing (I've never seen it, by the way).

>Now for as far as war goes.. Gulf War was more like incidents then war.
>I don't have a good definition to concider war but I think it was too
>short to be war.. and Iraq they basicaly didn't fight.. they only did
>was launch the scud missle.afterall many of soldier was surrendering ..
>even to camera man(reporter)..

Iraq was not prepared for a war... they're still not. Saddam cannot get
high-grade plutonium for nuclear warheads, so he's making biological
weapons in the hopes of impersonating the USSR. If the US lifted the
embargo, Saddam would collapse within years from the Western
influences -- they brought down Gorbachev, and they can bring down
a myopic dictator.

>Now if they fight this time who knows.. American is doing a good job of
>pissing off Iraq people.. we might get a real war this time....

Not likely. Iraq does not have adequate forces or technology to present
a threat, even now. All they have is biological weapons, which run
the risk of destroying Iraqi forces... perhaps even more Iraqi forces than
American, sinec America can prepare to counter them.

>if the German and English pull out.. American might in for another Vietnam
>where they get there ass kicked...

Viet Nam was quite different, thank you. America was fighting against forces
using a fighting style it wasn't acquainted with in a location it wasn't acquainted
with in a climate it wasn't acquainted with. Furthermore, America had no motivation
to fight because it faced no real risk even in case of a loss. Iraq, on the other
hand, is a place that we've fought in before where we can use familiar tactics
to fight an enemy that poses a potentially serious threat towards America.

>Afterall American always rely on "Allies" to get a Victory. They never have war
>by themself.

No. America won the War of 1812 largely by itself and also "turned the tide" of
World War I. The European portion of World War II was basically won by
Americans and Russians, who did not fight as allies, but on two seperate fronts
establish seperately by the Germans. The War in the Pacific was won completely
by Americans.

>Always have allies..Though that don't mean US can't win without allies. I am sure America
>can pick on a weak country very well.

No, America tends to "pick on weak countr[ies]" poorly. The stronger countries are those
it fights better. Then again, this is not a situation of the US "picking on" Iraq; the
Iraqi regime has been relying on the Iranian threat for a long time and hoping not to be
caught. When Iraq attacks an American ally -- like Kuwait -- it is necessary to come
to the ally's aid. In this case, the United States is eliminating a possible global threat,
and no other country is being courteous enough to pay for the defense it requires.

>afteral Iraq people are been suffocated by sunction.. if the US lose..
>That will be the biggest laugh of the century.. There goes the US
>reputation .. and soon all the world will stand up against the US power
>now knowing they get there ass kicked by country that been sanctioned
>for 6 or 7 years.

This is nonsense... if the US loses (doubtful) the rest of the world will go
into recession -- and, naturally, will blame the US. It will not be some glorious
fight against the big bully.

>I really hope US or Allies wont start the war until Olympic Ends.. or US
>be known as the country who broke the Olympic Tradition. Of no fight
>during Olympic.

Hmm... I'm sure this has been violated sometime before, or was it simply that no Olympics
were held in 1940 and 1944? The Olympic Tradition has been violated is spirit before as
well, like the boycotts.

>Katsunori
>p.s. don't get me wrong.. not bashing US.. just pointing out the facts

I understand. I don't mean the glorify the U.S.; I just think your facts are wrong.
