Sit back and hear ye a tale...

Once upon a time there there were two countries on opposite sides of the
Tasman Sea. These countries were at war, but not with each other. New
Zealand and Australia were working together in order to help shoot
Turkish people, as was the done thing at the time.

The ANZACs, or Australian and New Zealand Army Corps were to be dropped
on a Turkish beach at Gallipoli but thanks to British incompetence found
themselves dropped off under a cliff right under Turkish defenses.

ANZAC day is basically a memorial service for the lives lost and serves
as a reminder why old people hate the British.
