The new testament also speaks against slavery, in favour of Gays, and
condemns violence of all sorts, if you read it a certain way.

The old testament says to not do anything god hates, or he will do
destroy you on a larger scale.

There is a lot in both that can be used to justify all kinds of nasty
things to do to people. And the Jews and the Muslims have the old
testament as well. Only their beliefs are closer to it than those of
Christians.
