Steve Jobs passed away today aged 56.

Kind of puts things in perspective... I'm 33 now. Kind of scary.

I was never a fan of his products but there's no denying he was a hell
of a businessman and innovator.

Wow you are 33 now?

I remember when you didn't have any grass on the playing field. Good
thing you are across the pond or I'd be licking iron bars.

I was and am not an Apple fan, though I respect everything the company
has done. I don't know how much of an innovator Steve Jobs was, I think
his real genius was allowing people to do what they do best and getting
very good people to be doing it.

I don't know anyone whose life has not been affected by Apple's
innovations and it is sad to see him go.

To mourn the passing I suggest we all finger each other in the ass and
sigh show tunes.

Okay that was out of line, sorry. I mean, show tunes? WTF was I thinking.

Yeah I was a callow youth when I first showed up in AGQ2. That was a lot
of bacon grease ago!

Been living in the US for 3 1/2 years now... married and all too. God
we're old farts, the lot of us.

Same. I've always been a Windows guy but I seem to recall a few here who
played Quake on a Mac and I figure, more power to 'em.

Too young IMO. He never had the chance to enjoy a nice retirement. Sad.

Depends on the show, really, but yeah that's a bit tasteless. ;)

You played Quake on an etch-a-sketch back in the day, don't hate.

You are NOT kidding. Hell my current rig is still behind the times, but
it can at least run Quake 4 with everything turned up at 1280x1024. A
long way from back in the olden days when I was lucky if I was scraping
20FPS in Q2 :P

That's not the only reason, either...
