Quake III is multiplayer. DEATHMATCH, TEAMPLAY and many wonderful MODs.

My favourite FREEZE TAG - GOOD TIMES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

singleplayer.

Well that must be the problem.
It must be a multi-player only game.
For a single player, it's got nothing.
There no levels to advance to, just three different type of screens
that basically do the same thing. They run fast, you shot, it keeps
score, that's it.

I only play single player games. I'm not a game nurd.
I've never played Quake4 or Doom3 yet.

Agreed, D3 and Q4 have a traditional single-player campaign as well as the 
multiplayer-based aspect.

Try Excessive+ mod - a whole new Q3A world. Thing is you can't learn it 
easily - first you'll get totally battered. BUT stick with it, spectate what 
the others do and practise. If you do, then in a few months or longer you'll 
be playing one of the best games online.

Read this site - lots of info and help. You'll need to install their mod.

Quake 3 *Arena* and Unreal Tournament are the same type of ladder shooter. 
Q3 is a lot of fun in multiplayer;  online deathmatch and capture the flag.

Quake4 and Doom3 are story driven.   Q4 is the sequel to Quake2.  Doom 3 is, 
well, Doom 3.  It's definitely got some storyline.

it at school through the network (lots faster than online)
Secondly all you guys should learn how to quote, its so unclear, To
Quote start on a new line with ' [QUOTE] ' then put in the quote, then
start a new line and put
' [END QUOTE] ' then your response to the quote on the next line
Thirdly, Organize a Lan Party ande play games like halo, Unreal
Tornament and of course Quake 3 Arena

using long-established quoting conventions before sticking your foot in your

No, they would be people too stupid to find FREE news servers. (there are 
plenty)

I could see possibly using it if you were away from your own computer and 
unable to access a newsreader, but nothing posted here is really that 
important that it couldn't wait till you got to a computer you could post 
properly from.
