Hi,this is the error message i have been getting a lot recently, and i
want to get to the bottom of why the hell it does this.Internet is
working,game type is set to all,and show full/empty is on.Before i used
to be able to fix this problem by reinstalling the Quake III arena 1.32
game patch along with punkbuster. But now that doesn't even work.My
family have always had this problem with our copy of Quake III
Arena, and only I figured out how to fix it by turning on show
full/empty. It's like a rapidly evolving error message.Here's hoping
people will reply. Please,I want to play on the internet again.

Step one: Learn how to post to usenet newsgroups. Once is sufficient.

I know that happened by accident.

Ok, "no response from master server" is either related to the either not
having an internet connection (or not having the game configured correctly
for internet), or sometimes, the master server is just plain down. But it's
been up and working fine lately.

If you are behind a router, quake 3 may not have permission from the router
to access the internet. Make sure q3 has permission. Make sure also the
correct port, 27960 has been forwarded to the router. You may want to open a
range of ports like 27960 - 27920 or something as many servers use a similar
but different port.

Under multiplayer/servers, make sure "internet" is selected. If none of
these are an issue, then I won't be of much help.

Please report back with your router information and any other info.
