I am looking to upgrade to a 19" LCD monitor. It must have integrated speakers to save desk space. The speakers do not need to be that great since when playing games I always use headphones anyway. The display must be good though and have a good refresh rate for games. Anyone have any suggestions on a good inexpensive 19" LCD? Matt

http://tinyurl.com/d6qp3 what to look for in a flat panel response time - lower number is better(16ms or lower for gaming) viewing angle - higher number is better(160 or higher) contrast ratio - higher is better(600:1 or higher) also you didn't mention whether you wanted d-sub or dvi read the reviews on newegg.com...they will help you more that any magazine article look for reviews that mention the specific games you will be playing Matt wrote: > I am looking to upgrade to a 19" LCD monitor. > response time - lower number is better(16ms or lower for gaming) "Response time" is too general a term to be of any use, seeing as most manufacturers cottoned onto the fact that most home users were judging LCDs by that factor - and came up with new and alternative methods of measuring it. It's perfectly possible for a 10ms monitor to be slower than a 30ms monitor... The only response time that matters for gamers is the gray to gray time, but manufacturers do not generally advertise it on their products as most home users are not capable of comprehending the difference. -- Lordy.UK
