..OK, not much of one, but going from a Radeon 9200SE 64Mb to a Geforce 
FX5200 128Mb doubled my FPS in Doom3 ;)
Haven't tried it with HL2 yet. That game was pretty much unplayable with my 
old card, and since I still only have 512Mb of RAM... LOL :)

Are you limited to a PCI card?  'cause man, you should at least have a 
6600 now, you could get away with a 6200.  
A 6200 costs £60 a 6600, £80.
Though you struggling by with 512 Mb of RAM and a FX5200 has me waxing 
nostalgic... ah, so many memories of EvilBill's computer woes.
I'm running an unlocked 6800 right now, but the rest of my system is 
pretty much two years old.

AGP. No PCI-E sadly <g>

Yeah, I just didn't want to splash out too much as I have rent and bills and 
stuff to pay. LOL
