Hello folks,

when playing play with some friends my PC will be the server. Last time 
nobody could connect. They just got the notice "awaiting challenge". No 
looking for the solution I find that ZoneAlarm blocked them. BUT Q3A was 
definitely allowed to access Internet AND to act as the server. 
Nevertheless they were blocked.

Is this a known problem and is there a solution? Do not say to kill 
ZoneAlarm, please. ZoneAlarm has the version number 5.1.039.004

Open up Zone Alarm, click on Firewall / Main, and adjust the sliders
downward as needed.

In my ZAP settings, I just check all the ports Q3A uses.  that will be 
in the Firewall tab and Custom button.   You can give any program any 
ports.
Also, I have a LinkSys BEFSR41 router/switch.  I add programs to port 
forwarding when they aren't getting through.  Even with both ZAP and the 
router, I can join and create servers.
