I know this isn't the place for it, but.......
perhaps someone here knows. In quake 2 on one of my two systems
quake 2 properly remebers my video settings and keys. But on my other
system it doesn't. Does anyone know how to fix this. And is it a known
problem?
I've got v3.20 installed on both systems.....

Please if you know the answer reply to this message, because it's
really annoying.

thanks in advance,
The Lord.

Just copy the config.cfg from your good q2 to the other one it's in the
baseq2 directory

If you have to run in compatibility mode then it will reset the video
settings to make sure you dont crash. As for the keys - Every patch and
stuff has it's own config file. If you use patches ( such as Eraser bot )
then you have to change the keys for all of them. ( Copying the config files
can overwrite important key bindings required for some patches )

I hope this helps a bit.

Check if your config.cfg and/or autoexec.cfg are copy protected...
