You have to download the Voodoo OpenGL Beta 2.1. Not the miniGL. Copy the file 3dfxopengl.dll to the quake3 main dir. Rename it to opengl32.dll. Then start the game. If everything is ok it'll pass and you'll get the main menu. Go to system settings, video options, and set fullscreen on. If it's already on then still go to this screen and press enter else for some reason it quits with the message OpenGL subsystem not found. After pressing enter you can play a game. This was all told to me by a friend, ofcourse.

this will not work for the banshee, you can try this though goto http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Lakes/7220/mesa.html and download the mesa3dll.zip file, and use the opengl32.dll in your quake3 directory. I got it working with my banshee although it does seem a bit slow probally because its not a 3dfx file TheUnknown wrote in message <7bmtrv$alu$1...@news.IAEhv.nl>... >You have to download the Voodoo OpenGL Beta 2.1. neither works on my banshee 300a bh6 64 pc100 raven best thing I can get is if I take the 1.47 mini and rename it to opengl.dll or voodoogl.dll, then I just get the sky when it starts, have tried many many dll's and that's the best I can get Bones wrote: > > Dave wrote in message <7bphpe$r5c$1...@plug.news.pipex.net>... > >this will not work for the banshee, you can try this though > > Really? Sometimes it will start and stop complaining that there is no gl subsystem, but it works fine on the second attempt.
