got it yesterday, personally (overlord uk you cynical git)....i reckon it
rocks for what it is (ie just a look around a couple of levels). it shows
off some nice flame and mirror effects, although my fps slowed considerably
when near the mirrors. on average i was getting 25-42 fps around the levels,
the lower rates coming near stuff like the mirrors and the slowly pulsating
tongue etc (p2 350, BX mother, 64mb, Voodoo2), although there are a couple
of places where it was v.low (but id have stated that the leak contained
some levels that are deliberately very high polygon counts). anyway, its a
wicked little intro, and i reckon its to id's advantage that its been
leaked...think about it....daikatana demo any day now(in theory), unreal
tournament v.soon etc....the leak has stirred up a lot of interest....only
the really dedicated will bother to download it anyway, and its only got one
level that is in any way complete, allowing you to dm with friend :) !! oh,
and the fog effects are v.cool, and that sound when you get the quad
damage...that rocks !!! I don't feel bad about having a copy as i've
always had every intention of buying it the very second it's released
anyway...think of this as a taster !!!
