I had Q3 installed on my PC. Then I got a new PC. My CD is scratched and won't read any more. I tried copying over all of the data files from the old PC. It works file for single player. I then downloaded the latest point release and tried to play on the Internet. However, the server connect fails saying I don't have the right server protocol. For some reason, Q3 seems to be telling the server that I don't have the point release installed, even though I do. Is there some registry setting or other procedure that I need to follow, when copying an installation from one PC to another?
