co-op in Q4?

So is there cooperative play in Quake IV?

I was thinking how funny it is.  Wasn't the original Doom the first
game to have co-op play?  I'm pretty sure Duke 3d had it.

Only the really rich or geeky had home networks (or even a second
computer)!  And could you ever really play multiplayer on dial-up?

Now almost everyone has at least two computers at home, and it doesn't
cost that much to connect them.  Plus, most people have broadband.

But how many PC games have co-op play?  Do any PC games have co-op
play?
