I don't have a stand alone DVD player, but the DVD drive and my GF3 with TV-Out have always worked fine. So I don't open the LOTR one but I got a few other DVDs to watch. None of the software DVD players I have are working. Errors say TV-Out enabled so copyright protection enforced, err what, that never happened before. So I unplug the TV reboot and try again. Still the same effing error. Do a little checking on the net. Oh there's something buggered with the new 41.80 drivers, fine I'll go back to the 41.09s..... install 'em, reboot... same problem. Do a little checking on the net. Oh there's something buggered with the 41.09 drivers (copy and paste is fun). Fine, I'll go hunt down the 41.03s, shit, the link at guru3d is dead. Cross fingers, use google, get the 41.03s all should be fine, then I try NVDVD, error, unable to connect to audio device, WTF! At least this was just with NVDVD, WinDVD finally worked. ARRGGGHHHH. Do you think whoever my sister in law bought the shitty 2 disc version from will let me trade it in? They freakin' better. I really absolutely god damn hate christmas. Shit like this always happens. The other thing I got, that I'm actually sort of happy about, a big honkin' hard drive, well we all know how much fun installing and trying to transfer stuff over to it can be. Bah Humbug. -- "I'm hearing music from another time" Steve [Inglo]
