I'd say try to get a GF3 TI500, or an overclockable Ti200 (like Gainward
'Golden Sample'). I just picked up a GF3 TI500 64MB for $55 shipped -
it rules, I'm quite impressed with it (and talk about a score!) This
card improved my 3DMark2001 from 3900 to 7000 on a P3-1.6GHz BX6v2 512MB
system (old card GF2 GTS 32MB). Quake FPS didn't change any, but WTF!!!

Just keep trolling ebay - deals pop up every once in a while. There are
frequently the gf3 ti200 golden samples showing up for $70-80 shipped
buy-it-now. Oh, and good luck in the UK (shit just costs more there I
guess, and that damn VAT!)...
