Evening all, hope some of you can help with what I'm sure are very basic questions. I am trying to connect to a friend to play Quake 3 over the Internet. Both of us have cable modems so connection speed can't be an issue. When I connect, I have a totally different list of Q3 servers to him. If I run a server he can't see it and vice versa. Where does the program get the list of servers from, and how can we change it so we're reading from the same list? I tried to specify the server using his IP address. What port should be used, and how long will it normally take to connect? I hope someone can help, I'm sure these are basic questions! We are both running Windows XP. Different ISPs, both in the UK. cheers dan --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
