I speak from much experience here. Lets get one thing straight, I do
not think because I have been arround that I am better than anyone, or
that I know any better than anyone. I can only speak from what I have
seen, in sadly what is several years now.

When I started out in the ol NG , q2,  agq2 actually, there were no
clans really, but this guy named sigil started a server just for folks
on the NG to play on. There was much talking about who could kick
who's ass and so forth. Sigil started a server and the "who could kick
who's ass"  threads turned into "man that was fun last night"  or
GG's at sigils, gg's at the backup haus threads. Was always fun. Other
folks such as ford and Killer tossed up other servers for people to
play on and the fun continued. 

Then Q3 came around and PIT fired up his servers. There was a lotta
crap going on in this NG at the time, but after there was a server for
everyone to play on it was really very fun. There was IG, DM, and CA.

There was a community. People played and had fun. Even folks from
across the seas joined and despite the outrageous pings seemed to have
fun. Well I had fun lag killing them anyway, but I am silly like that.

The thing that ruined it for me was the introduction of clan nonsense
into it all. I was part of a NG clan and quickly quit while denouncing
it at the same time. Others sadly did not listen. they formed clans
and displayed this holier than thou attitude while quickly abandoning
the NG, only to come back at their leisure expecting to be treated as
royalty in the imaginary kingdom that the felt they created ,but had
left behind.

What this place needs is a place for regs to play on. No clans, no BS,
just some fun.

Whatever has offered a server, I can offer servers as well. Maybe not
the best pings, but that never mattered before when playing amongst
friends.

I am sure there are others here that have bandwidth that can offer up
some servers. What mods, maps and options do you all want?
