I've downloaded a few new levels and features off the internet but they don't do anything. Do I have to run the game differently or something to get them to work? All I ever see is the same old Quake. Wayne

well as far as levels/maps
ok for levels you can load at the console by using the
MAP level1 or wahtever the name of the map is also the maps have to
be in the the quake\ID1\maps dirertory
now as far as game conversions or partial conversions such as ctf or
tw or what ever they have to be in theirown dir such as
QUAKE\CTF then at the dos prompt or the win95 run line.
this is an example ok
quake.exe -game ctf
it is also nice to use the -winmem command to give quake more memmory
under win95 -winmem 16 for 32 mb systems.
now all this info can be found in the txt files that came with quake(the
registered version).
I really hope this helps good luck
