Trying to set up a Quake 2 Threewave CTF server.  Anyone know how to
replace the cable grapple with the "blaster fire" grapple? Everything
is good with CTF 1.50 but the darn grapple. It's the "use grapple" not
the +hook grapple.

I remember there where a lot of modifications.  I'd like to stick with
the original 5 ctf maps if I could. 
I've looked at loki's minions but I hate those maps. 

 Many people who will be at my lanparty have never played Q2. Should
be cool.

You could use MatchMod
http://www.planetquake.com/matchmod/

or Lithium:

http://www.planetquake.com/wod/files.html

None of these mods requires special maps. Make sure all your players have 
the CTF maps in the directory for the mod you choose (e.g. 
Quake2/lithium/maps) and start the server with something like:

quake2 +set ctf 1 +set game lithium +set dmflags 4 +map q2ctf2

The maps and player models are usually found in your CTF folder in the file 
pak0.pak. Have fun.
