I think it was to be released yesterday. Worth it? Yes? No? Opinions. You
know what I'm talking about.

I think it's worth it, although it taxes my system a bit more
than Doom3 did. At the beginning it looks like Doom3 all over
again but with gunners spawning everywhere instead of imps.
It picks up as the game goes on.

Also the game's sound engine accomodates something called
"OpenAl". I'm still trying to get a handle on exactly
what "OpenAl" is.

Me. Definitely worth it, loved Q2, loving Q4 :)
Slightly frustrated at the part where you have to protect the guy disarming
the mines, but I think it's just that my aim sucks monkey balls and I need
to tweak the game for speed a bit ;)
Played a couple of DM games, got my ass handed to me and loved every minute
of it. LOL

I've played it. I would say the single player is better than I expected. I
think it's much more fun than Doom 3.

I don't know about the muliplayer yet. I played a little CTF online but I
wasn't getting many frames so it's kinda hard to tell. I got one cap and one
assist but also did a lot of team killing hehe

It sux that there are no bots. I sure hope somebody comes up with some.

I'm having a more fun time with it than Doom3. I'm also having a problem
that I had with Doom in that it kept causing GPFs, getting kicked to my
desktop. I fixed it in Doom by installing a good heatsink as Doom was
heating up my Athalon 2800+. Now Q4 is causing the same things with a
difference, my cpu is not running as hot as it was at all. It's getting up
around 130-140. Doom was causing it to get up around 170. This time around
it does not seem related to cpu overheating. Once I figure this out, I'll be
happy.
