We were spared the bullet this time. I worry about anyone in Southern Louisianna though. 8:10 am All I'm seeing here on the East side of houston is some gusty winds, clouds all scudding toward SSE at around 60mph, a little rain, lots of tree limbs n branches scattered around. No missing roofs or stuff like that. More like a big thunderstorm, but without the thunder and lightning. Guess i'll call around the state and wake all my kids :) McG.

Would you guesstimate that the airport (IAH) will be back in full operation by Tuesday morning? -- If you're not on the edge, you're taking up too much space. Linux Registered User #327951

Right now, the storm is still generating 100mph+ winds well North of Houston. Livingston, Corsicana, Dallas across to Shvereport La. are getting all of that. I think the storm will die down by nightfall. McG.

They might not have power where they're at. Lot of outages all around the area. I was really lucky, my power went down several times but came right back up. Village next to me is just dark right now, no juice at all. If Pop got hongry and is waiting at Shipleys Donuts, he'll be a while ;) McG. Not bad here at all! 20-25 mph winds with occasional 40mph gusts... power went off about 6am but came back on about 2pm; ST only lost his power for a couple of hours after midnight; we went to his house for a while and didn't need his generator; not enough rain to fill a bathtub! just a lot of debris in the roads... -- pop is Mark Doing nothing makes me tired 'cause I can't take a break. -- "Ratgirl" <Ratgirl@no.com> wrote in message news:WygZe.128476$p_1.81821@tornado.tampabay.rr.com... > That's great!
