The old EraserULTRA site is long gone, so I thought the bot was dead; then Google turned up a result while I was hunting for the Eraser source :) http://www.btinternet.com/~AnthonyJ/EraserULTRA/ -- -- "I see what the nhh-stars do, because so fair is their shape; it is well for me with them and it is well for them. I am a nhh-star, the companion of a nhh-star, I become a nhh-star, and I will not suffer for ever." EvilBill - http://www.evilbill.co.uk My Quake2 FTP site: ftp://65.30.181.223/quake/EvilBill/

Thanks for the link. Really cool. The links on this site are still working. I was still using an older version of this bot, since 2002. Glad to have an update now.. I use this bot every day for my lithium training :) @ LinuxLover: -There are also linux binaries of this bot on the site (even for macOS; and even for SGI :) "EvilBill" <devlin@SPAM-ME-NOT-o-JERK-weset.freeserve.co.uk> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:c4n59q$clg$1@newsg3.svr.pol.co.uk... > The old EraserULTRA site is long gone, so I thought the bot was dead; then > Google turned up a result while I was hunting for the Eraser source :) > > http://www.btinternet.com/~AnthonyJ/EraserULTRA/ > > -- > -- > "I see what the nhh-stars do, because so fair is their shape; it is well for > me with them and it is well for them. Hmmm... seems there's some issues with Ultra that need fixing. The Load Game screen keeps coming up every time I die. And the bots' aim is... unrealistic. <g> -- -- "I see what the nhh-stars do, because so fair is their shape; it is well for me with them and it is well for them. ..and to go full circle, I found this thread via google too. Should anyone still be looking, you can download all the routes that were previously at the Bot Outpost from any cdrom.com mirror that still has all the old files from before they dropped PQ. Eg: ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub/pc/games/idgames2/planetquake/outpost/ The ones from Freds Route Depot may be long gone, although my routes directory contains pretty much all of them (no credits, and unknown which routes are complete etc) - maybe I'll upload them one day. FWIW, the issue with the menu coming up after dying is actually a user error (deathmatch cvar not set correct), although I did produce a build that doesnt do this even if deathmatch is not set (note that the "paused" tile will still be displayed when bringing down the console, 'cos the engine still knows deathmatch is not set correctly).
