Its not gonna happe guys. There is just too much data to push from one end to another. what we are running into here is a lack of data transferr technology...mainly analog mode speeds. there are just too many polygons to be able to quickly re-represent the on both machines without faster hardware. the biggest reason Doom2, Decent, Duke3D, work so well is the graphical code is so much simpler. there is just less to move from one side to the other. Besides, your comparing it to technology that is at least 3 to 4 years old. At least be fair. Warcraft isnt even the same type of game and cant possibly be compare to a 3D fist person shooter such as Quake. If any of you guys are programmers....download the code for quake attatched to this document. Then find source for an older 3D game such as those mentioned above. youll find that they are drastically different and the quake source is quite a bit more advanced. I think id did the best they could with what they had considering the already massive delays with getting Quake on the shelves. Just my opinion... Quake Rocks!!, thanks JohnC :-) Lorne Torres <pe...@ix.netcom.com> wrote in article <01bc7b99$5af74ae0$5cd2b4cf@qb-pers>... > I've read numerous messages lately on here, and none that I've read have > had any concerns with modem issues for the second Quake game.
