I've just been reading the Hexen II FAQ and it states that neither Hex 2 nor Quake 2 will support Serial linked multiplayer games. This has competely drained my original excitement about both games. I can't afford to spend hours on the net playing Quake (British Telecom are rip-off merchants). Playing with a null-modem cable was completely free and great fun. Why ruin it? The FAQ states that a serial link up is unfair due to the slight delay on the guest computer, but I'm sure that for plenty of people this is the only way they could play multiplayer games, the option to play serial can't effect the rest of the game (memory, speed, disk space) So why can't they leave it in? rant rant rant....etc. Rex
