Best Quake control configuration setup?

I've used quite a few different control configurations (i.e.,
assigning keys for running, jumping, etc.) for Quake-type games (i.e.,
Quake 1 & 2, Half-Life, Unreal, etc.) but have yet to find one that
I'm 100% comfortable with. Does anyone know of any websites that look
at different setups? Or does anyone have any suggestion of how I
should map the keys? Send e-mail if you can or post here. Thanks.
