I only own Quake 2 and nothing else (not a big gamer). It was fine back in my dial-up days, but crap with ADSL. I've had two different ADSL accounts (ie. two different ISPs) and the game's suffered with both. Both were at different houses in different states, so it can't be the service and/or phone line. Also, normal ADSL usage seems fine, ie. I can download large files and so on with no problems, no dropouts or anything like that. I can't afford to buy any other games, and in fact don't really want to just to "test" if Q2 is the problem. I just thought it might be a simple Q2 cvar that needing changing, that's all.
