I wanted to play a game of quake2 with my nephew (I'm in central Cal using a local ISP and he's in Oregon using AOL). We both have slow connections. We couldn't play with one of us acting as the server, because the ping was too big. Yesterday, I decided to try Gamespy, the version that came with the Quake2 netpack, and got a good list. So i logged onto a system and immeadiately got fragged. Anyway, I tried to walk my nephew through the stages, but he couldn't get the list. I checked the Gamespy FAQ, and it mentions problems with incompatibilities with some winsocks. Is there a problem with Gamespy and AOL that keeps him from getting a server list? Or did his install go bad, or did I maybe delete something when I did the install months ago? Todd tod...@stopspam.net actually, it's inreach
