These are my pics for the up-comming 3-d games (which ones I think will do good) Quake 2 will be a major hit with the Quake community. Again, not many people realize this, but a lot of gamers DO NOT play Quake. It isn't a game for everyone. Half-Life: With some amazing AI, this game using the original, al beit "tweeked" Quake engine is gonna attract a lot of attention (it already has actually :) SiN: I dont know much about this one, except that the creators of Mission pack 1 are creating it (correct me if i'm wrong) Unreal: I feel this game is going to create another "war" much like the Duke Nukem vs. Quake war we all had to go through earlier last year. I think it's just going to be one of those games you have to play for yourself. However, having the opportunity to play a Test Level of Unreal I can only say that you'd better have a pumping system (slow on my P-200, with 32 megs RAM). Sure the 16-bit color is beautiful, but it is extremely slow, like running Quake in 1028x720 in windows alloting 10 megs ram. Like 8 fps slow :( Duke Nukem Forever: This sure does sound interesting. 3-D realms liscened the Quake 2 engine for Duke Nukem Forever, so I expect to see a really great game from the Duke series. Probably featuring a ton of creative genius and inovation. Prey: Looks completely lame, will probably be eclipsed by Quake 2 and Half-life, and Unreal. (maybe not but it hasn't sturred up much attention so far) Hexen 2: I definatly will NOT end up buying this game. But fans of the original Hexen will probably celebrate. I've had a chance to see a few of the levels from Quake Con... what can I say except for pure level designing genius. The levels really look great and take the Quake engine to a whole new level.
