Is there a way to have mouselook that stays on when you're moving? I don't want to have to hold down a key or mouse button to mouselook. Is there a console command for this? thx

I'm still typing it. Where is that autoexec file? And what do you type to modify it?

Complete Basic Instructions for anyone not familar with the process:
(isn't it amazing the longevity this game has - people are still
discovering it for the first time!)
Open the folder where Quake is installed (with My Computer or Windows
Explorer). Then open the ID1 folder. If you don't see a file in there
called autoexec.cfg, you'll need to create one. To do so, while in the ID1
folder, right click on any empty spot. Choose New, then from the list that
pops up choose Text Document. Name it autoexec.cfg. If should warn you
about changing the file extension. Click Yes or OK. If it doesn't warn
you - check to make sure you're not naming the file autoexec.cfg.txt. That
one wont work.
Double click on the autoexec.cfg file you just created and it should
open in Notepad. Type +mlook. Click File/Save. Now the crosshair
command, and any other commands you put in that file, will AUTOmatically
EXECute when you start Quake.
