[Do people think that posting surveys is a reasonable use of this group? Let me know. -moderator] I am very interested in all of the new graphical mud programs which have come out lately, and are coming out (supposedly). Please, if you don't mind, take a little time to answer the following questions as honestly as possible. Answer only the questions you want to. Please email your response to me at chr...@mindspring.com. Thankyou. Personal info 1. Sex: 2. Age: 3. Type of MU*'s played: 4. Type of MU* you most often play: 5. Favorite MU* (please include address + port): The good stuff 6. What is the most important aspect of mudding (label the following from 1-6, 1 being most important, 6 least.): a. Combat (hack-n-slash): b. Partying (not the kind w/ dancing and a punchbowl, we're talking teamwork.): c. Conversation (Interacting with others out of character.): d. Roleplaying (Stressing in character relationships, etc.): e. Exploration/Problem Solving (Exploring the world, solving quests, etc.): f. Creating (Bringing your ideas to life for the enjoyment of others.): 7. Which of these do you feel would be most important in a graphical mud? Why? Least important? Why? 8. Which aspects of today's text-based MU*'s should be kept in their translation to a graphical environment? Which shouldn't/couldn't? 9. Would you be willing to pay for a "good" (in your opinion) text-based MU*? A "good" graphical MU*? 10. Which would be a better environment for a graphical MU*, a 3rd person overhead type view, or a 1st person Doom-like view? 11. Would pkilling become more or less important in a graphical environment? Why? 12. Other comments/questions. - Thankyou much.
