I'd like to know where the rumor about the only weapon in quake being a
hammer came from. I really don't think Id would do something like that. A
smarter thing to do would be to supply us with about ten slots for weapons and
allow us to create our own. Does anybody out there agree?

A resounding YES from this particular camp.

Programmable visuals and sounds...a little difficult, especially in the world
of client/server (no, lets not get into THAT).
Programmable effects? Hmmmmm.....I think having a freeze-ray would be rather
helpful (I'm a keyboard player), or a nail-gun..Kewl!

Another resounding YES.

I think id is having fun playing with our minds. They probably
won't be releasing any solid info until the middle of the year
(or later). At that time, we may very well find out that Quake is
totally different from what anybody has postulated so far.
