What about performance of these new 3d videocards??
Has anyone tested 3d games (Example 3D version of Nascar racing with Matrox
MGA Millenium, machine would be Pentium 120 8-16Mb RAM).
Can you feel the speed and testify FAST and SMOOTH framerate ALL the detail
levels on (SVGA settings). As we all know the normal version of Nascar Racing
is rather jerky in, well...lets say in 486/66 with Cirrus Logic Local Bus
Videocard.
Thank you for your answers in advance!!

Well, I got a 3D Blaster (VL-BUS version) and on DX4/100 it runs Nascar
very well way faster than Pentium 90 and even faster than P120. It is
playable with full texture mapping. The other games especially Magic
Carpet and Hi-Octane seem to been rushed so I don't think its good idea
to judge the cards performance on these games.

I think 3D Blaster should run Quake resonably well in lo-res, not to
sure about hi-res. MC and Hi-Octane's hi-res rate rates are all that
great (no idea why no lo-res options in the game). WHat I mean
reasonably is on your PC with 3DB is should be about as fast as P100.

Of course if you got something like P133 with better card (such as
Verite) Quake should really fly. Fro what I've read Verite chipsets
should like the one to get if you got PCI. For VL-BUS based machines 3DB
is the only choice..
