I hope it has. But many are happy with VGA gaming, which seems
to be the norm these days: 486=VGA, Pentium=SVGA. By 486, I mean 486/100
or 120.

Well, I think a lot of people are spending hundreds of dollars
just for either a few extra fps (if you stay completely in VGA, upgrading
from a fast 486 to a Pentium won't help much) or just for SVGA modes
(which is just eye candy and doesn't make the game IMO). I'm not a
cutting-edge gamer. I'm a student and can't afford to be one. But I CAN
use a fast 486 to play TODAY's great games in VGA.

I presume you're talking about the classic Spacewar game, originally invented in 1964-1965? I'd agree about the network play; it was a good game, and it's worth a comeback. Not to mention that it was the *FIRST* video game (beat Pong by a good eight years), and ought to be kept around if for only that reason. Wish I had the source to some version of it... sigh... +-----------------------------------------------------------------+ | POWER RULES! USE LINUX!
