That's more of a cultural thing.  That is, every culture that seems to embrace
Islam also seems to think that women are to be seen and not heard.  Or maybe
not even seen _or_ heard.  I could give you examples out of my own family...

My personal belief is that most women should be glorified..I sort of like them,
you know. But then, I'm not Muslim...

Well, a lot do.  I assume you're referring to the militant bastages who like to
bomb innocent civilians and the like?  Very, vey few Muslims actually condone
those sort of things.  (I'm talking about Muslims in general; they realize
they're just not supposed to kill people for absolutely no reason/political
reasons).
